Roots

This is where culture lives. The relationships on your team. The unspoken way things get done. The trust — or the absence of it — that determines everything visible above the surface. Most of our work happens here, because most of what's broken in a practice starts here.

Why Roots, Stem, and Bloom

We start at the roots. Always. The stem and bloom follow when the time is right.

Bloomworks isn't just a name. It's how we understand practices. A plant doesn't grow in phases you check off a list. Roots, stem, and bloom all exist simultaneously — feeding each other constantly. A weak root system eventually shows up in a wilting bloom. You can't skip a part. You can't force a sequence. And you can't turn a key and expect something living to simply function. That's how we think about your practice.

Stem

The structure that carries what the roots provide — roles, communication rhythms, the way decisions get made and conflict gets handled. A stem isn't installed. It grows stronger through use, through weather, through what it's asked to carry over time.

Bloom

The visible proof that everything underneath is working — your team thriving, your clients well cared for, your practice financially sustainable. A bloom isn't forced. It's evidence. It shows up when the roots and stem are doing their work.

Who Is Behind This Work

Patrick Eilers is a Licensed Professional Counselor, AACC Certified Coach, and the founder of Bloomworks Concepts and Coaching. He spent ten years on the clinical side of mental health — inside practices, in the chair, doing the work — before turning his attention to the owners who build these places and carry them forward. What he found was a consistent, costly, and almost entirely unaddressed problem. Therapists — some of the most relationally skilled people in any field — were running their practices without ever applying those skills to their own teams.

Not because they didn't care. Because nobody ever told them that what they already knew how to do was exactly what their practice needed from them as a leader. That gap is what Bloomworks exists to close. Not with a system. With a relationship. One practice, one owner, one honest conversation at a time.

The costliest avoidance by an owner is not being an owner.

What Bloomworks Is Not

Bloomworks is not a consulting firm that delivers a finished plan and hands it off. It is not a course you complete on your own schedule. It is not a system you implement in three phases. It is not a generic coaching program built for any business owner in any industry. It is a coaching and mentorship relationship built specifically for therapist-owners — people who spent years learning how to help others grow, and who now need someone to do the same for them and for the practice they built.

Every practice is a living entity. It has its own needs, its own season, its own culture waiting to be grown intentionally.

Built to Last Without You in the Room

The ultimate test of a practice culture is not how well it runs when you are present. It is how well it holds when you step away. Whether that means a week of vacation, a season of reduced hours, or eventually handing off what you have built entirely — a practice with genuine culture can survive your absence. A practice held together by your personality, your presence, and your daily involvement cannot. This is not an exit planning conversation. It is a culture conversation. And it is one worth having long before you think you need it.

We Don't Fix Practices. We Help Them Grow.

Most coaches hand you a system and ask you to turn the key. Bloomworks stays in the room with you — because culture isn't built from a binder. It grows from a relationship, tended over time, specific to you and the practice you've built.

We serve solo and group practice owners who find themselves at a

crossroads between clinical excellence and the complexities of business leadership. Transitioning from therapist to CEO often brings a unique set of challenges—from the overwhelm of growth decisions to the intricacies of building systems and team management.

At Bloomworks, we believe a successful practice focuses on both the business and the humans inside it. Our approach is grounded, practical, and deeply supportive, ensuring your practice remains as healthy as the clients you support.
